People looking for engineering jobs in Derby will be pleased to hear that global firm Expleo is creating 120 new positions.
The Business Desk reported that the engineering, tech and IT consultancy wants to boost its UK employee count to 1,500 before the year is over, which is why it is launching the new jobs at Pride Park.
Jeff Hoyle, managing director at Expleo UK, said: “We’re seeing great demand for highly skilled engineering talent across all our projects, from combat air to commercial shipping.”
He noted that demand is expected to increase in aerospace engineering, particularly after the company has partnered with leading aerospace manufacturers, including Spirit Aerosystems and Thales, recently.
Therefore, it wants to recruit more engineers and designers in this field to meet growing demand.
Candidates who put themselves forward for the roles can expect to work on a range of projects, as Expleo prides itself on providing different opportunities across several industries.
After all, Mr Hoyle stated: “Many engineers don’t want to be stuck working on the same project for years.”
In addition to its Derby site, it also has bases in Birmingham, also in the Midlands, as well as Belfast, Chester, Bristol, the Isle of Man, Worthing, London, and Preston.
Overall, Expleo has sites in 30 countries worldwide, having launched more than 40 years ago in Paris, France. It has now expanded to include innovation management and solutions, transformation consultancy, digital transformation, product and process engineering, manufacturing and supply chain, quality and testing, and customer support and maintenance.
