FMB Launches Master Builder Awards 2020

This year’s Master Builder Awards have just been launched, the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB’s) national competition celebrating the very best of the nation’s builders, awards that are recognised as a badge of quality, with a wide range of different categories to enter.

Nominations for the awards are now open and there’s the chance to win the grand prize of an Isuzu D-Max Pick Up – which is worth over £36,000! In all, there are 11 devolved and regional awards ceremonies set to be held, with the finalists then competing for overall national titles.

Different categories include renovations, innovative sustainability, commercial projects and quality housebuilding, with clients also able to nominate outstanding individual tradesperson to reward them for their hard work.

Chief executive of the FMB Brian Berry said: “2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, not least our hard working local builders who have sprung into action to ensure that our homes are fit for purpose in the new normal.

“Master Builders have demonstrated agility, resilience, and dedication to their workforce during this turbulent time, and I think it’s only right that we come together to celebrate quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and building excellence.”

The closing deadline for nominations is January 15th 2021. Unlike other award schemes, it is free to enter, but you do need to be a Master Builder in order to be eligible to take part. The awards are only open to those companies that are already members of the FMB or individual tradesmen employed by a Master Builder company.
